October 26, 2014 (Sudan Vision)
Khartoum - Governor of South Kordofan State, Adam Al-Faki announced that six million acres have been sowed this agricultural season, compared to last years 1.5 million acres.
The governor attributed the increase in the agricultural area to the improvement of security in the state this year.
The governor said South Kordofan has developed a strategic plan to increase the cultivated area in 2015 to cover 10 million acres.
Al-Faki called on the armed movement to join peace process, affirming that the stability in the state has contributed to the return of more than 230,000 internally displaced families to their home villages.
