SAF Set the Record Straight, Liberate Abu Karshola

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) declared that they liberated Abu Karshola in South Kordofan from the rebels of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) which had been occupied on April 27th.

Addressing a spontaneous popular crowd yesterday in front of the SAF's General Command; President Al-Bashir declared that the government will no longer negotiate with the so-called Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) and affirmed that Sudan recognizes neither SPLM-N, nor SRF, nor JEM, nor SLM.

Al-Bashir described SRF members as traitors who sold the country to its enemies and massacred and slaughtered the innocent and the elderly in Abu Karshola. He added: "The government will not negotiate with the terrorists and traitors of SRF."

The President of the Republic warned that, in case it became evident and proved that South Sudan provided support to rebels in Darfur, Blue Nile, or South Kordofan, all cooperation agreements will be cancelled.

The Sudanese army has been fighting since 1955 and will continue its efforts till every inch of the territories of the homeland is liberated.

Thousands of citizens have taken to the streets spontaneously in rallies of joy and support for SAF following the SAF's declaration of the liberation of Abu Karshola.

Defence Minister, 1st Lt. General (Eng.) Abdul Raheem Mohammed Hussein, said the Armed Forces liberated Abu Karshola with high spirits of sacrifice and asked Allah Almighty for mercy for the martyrs of SAF and the other regular forces.

The Minister commended the efforts of the SAF which resulted in victory and of the Sudanese people who backed and supported SAF.
He added: "The Sudanese people are worthy of all that's good."

He affirmed that SAF will continue their purposeful journey till peace and stability prevail over the entire homeland.

The liberation of Abu Karshola resonated far and wide within the Sudanese people who took to the streets in rallies of support for SAF and joy due to SAF's victory over the rebels in Abu Karshola.

Um Rowaba, a town which also came under the rebels attacks before, witnessed massive rallies of ecstatic joy and support for SAF.

The citizens marching in rallies repeated shouts condemning the rebels and affirming their support for SAF "all the way till all the territories of the homeland are liberated from the filth of rebels" according to them.

Rabab Hussein Al-Bashir, an Um Rowaba citizen, expressed her joy over the victory of SAF; saying in a phone call with Sudan Vision: "This victory is a reinstates the situation to its rightful state and is a great response to the provocations the rebels have exercised in Um Rowaba and other areas. SAF have always been an invincible shield protecting the country."

It is to be noted that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) announced that it repulsed rebels attack on Al-Dandor area in South Kordofan on Sunday, killing more than 70 fighters.

The spokesperson for SAF, Al-Sawami Khaled Saad, said rebels of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) had attacked Al-Dandora on Sunday morning using tanks and artillery, stressing that SAF clashed with them and killed 70 and seized 2 tanks in good condition.

He pointed out that SAF is still combing the area and pursuing rebel remnants to ensure security and safety of the residents.

In the same context, Minister of Information and government spokesperson, Dr. Ahmed Belal Osman, has reassured people that the general situation in the country is stable and urged them not to listen to rumours about major threats and state collapse.

The Sudanese official called upon the media to only obtain information on the army from SAF’s spokesperson, stressing that they would furnish the public with true information regarding any attacks.
