Sudan foreign minister blames US envoy and GoSS for South Kordofan crisis

Sudan
August 18, 2011 (Miraya FM)

Sudan's Foreign Miinister Ali Karti told the press that his country does not regret the separation of South Sudan, and he is optimistic about future relations between the two countries.

Karti said Khartoum has no objection to what he described as "good diplomatic relations" with Juba, if the southern government proves serious about building that relationship

However Karti added violent incidents in South Kordofan were a conspiracy known by the US Envoy and supported by the Government of South Sudan.

There was no immediate reaction to the allegation from either the US Envoy or the Government of South Sudan.
