Opposition Alliance calls for immediate cessation of hostilities in S. Kordofan

Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North has agreed with opposition political parties in the north to join efforts after the announcement of south Sudan's independence. A leading member in the opposition alliance, Kamal Omar, told Radio Miraya that a meeting held on Sunday between the alliance and SPLM-North called for immediate cessation of hostilities in Southern Kordofan.

He added that the meeting also called for the implementation of the Addis Ababa Agreement on the area signed between the National Congress Party and SPLM-North.
