The National Elections Commission (NEC) says it has managed, on Monday, to resolve differences between the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) and the National Congress Party (NCP) over the announcement of the results of the Southern Kordofan state's gubernatorial and Legislative Assembly elections.

The Head of the NEC delegation in Kadugli, Abdallah Ahmed Abdallah, told Radio Miraya that the two main parties have agreed to a committee composed of political parties, the media, and observers to oversee sorting and counting of the votes, before the results are sent to Khartoum for endorsement and announcement of final results.
