South Kordofan elections polling records 25% in the first day

The Chairperson of the High Elections Committee in South Kordofan, Adam Abdin, has confirmed that 25 per cent of voters had cast their ballot on Monday, the first day of the state's gubernatorial and Legislative Assembly elections.
Speaking to Radio Miraya, Abdin said he expected the turn-out to increase over the following days.
He added that no violations in the electoral process were reported on the first day, and that the Election Committee is working very closely and transparently with the state's political parties.
