Karumba Secondary School In Kauda Burns Down Kauda Education Office

Students of Karumba Secondary school in Kauda in southern Kordofan state have burnt down the Kauda Education office for unknown reasons.

The students who are supposed to be sitting for their Sudan School Certificate stage a demonstration on Wednesday demanding to meet with the director of schools in the area.

The director of Education in Kauda in southern Kordofan spoke to SRS.

[Arnesto Kuti]: “Students of one of our secondary schools, because of unknown reasons and undefined problems came and attacked our offices. They began by beating everybody here in the office. They were asking for two people that is the director and the director for MRV. They began burning everything and destroying the whole place. That is in the main office of the school. The school is called Karumba secondary school. We have five injuries here. This was the officers of the directorate of Education and not the teachers of the school.”

The director of Education in Kauda in southern Kordofan state was speaking to SRS from Kauda.
