Southern Kordofan Election Preparations In Top Gear

The Southern Kordofan Elections Commission says they have made the necessary preparations for the forthcoming elections in the region.

The chairperson of the commission, Mohammad Idris Mosa told SRS that the elections will take place from the 2nd of May to the 8th of May 2011.

He spoke to SRS by phone from Kadugli on Wednesday.

[Mohammad Idris Mosa]: “The names will be published on 25th to 27th. After that, it will be the time for review and corrections of the names and the final list will be published on 6th of March and then presentation for nomination will be from 5th to 11th March. From Sunday 13-19 March will be review of the nominations after which campaigns will begin from 29th March to 1st May which is thirty four days and the elections from 2nd of May to 8th of May. Then the announcement of the result.”
