Government of South Kordofan Ends 23 out of 24 Tribal differences in the Region

The Government has been able to end twenty three out of the twenty four tribal differences that exited in South Kordofan state, the one remaining is between the Kawalib and he Hawazima al halfa, which is expected to be settled soon, the Governor of South Kordufan State, Ahmed Haroun told the Sudan News Agency SUNA Saturday.

Haroun said the tribal reconciliation conferences held in the state were supervised by the Reconciliation and Social Co-Existence Mechanisms in the state and that these mechanisms were able to end many of the existing conflicts that raged for long years.

He said this achievement places his state in the fifth rank among the Sudanese states that that have the lowest level of tribal clashes in the country. He said his state would soon be declared a comprehensively save state thanks to the cooperation of the various sectors and elements of in the state.

He said future conferences in the state would be devoted to development and future planning for the state. He expressed his satisfaction with the role played by the leaders of the local communities and other mechanisms that helped reached this status.
