General Al-Hadi Mohammed Ahmed told Sudan Vision that SPLM demand for re-demarcation of constituencies in Southern Kordofan couldn't be accepted as the demarcation process has been done according to the result of the census indicating that the commission has passed the said point and is currently preparing for the electoral campaign.
He considered that the demarcation of constituencies has been done in accordance with the law agreed upon by the SPLM.
He affirmed that the re-opening of the electoral register could not be done, since the Commission has opened and expanded the register additional days to enable the largest number of citizens to register. He said that the registration process has been done without stopping any citizen to register his name adding that the registration centers did not close at all considering that the said demand is not realistic.
SPLM leading figures had demanded the necessity of re- demarcation of constituencies in Southern Kordofan State saying that they will boycott the elections in all its levels if their claim is not accepted.
