Pagan rejects Bashir’s accusations

The SPLM has described the statements made by Head of the NCP, President Omer Al Bashir, regarding elections as a threat that will not be accepted, warning that the SPLM will deal with it through political and constitutional means.

The SPLM Secretary General Pagan Amum, made this statement while addressing celebrants of the 26th anniversary of the SPLM Foundation, held in Khartoum University on Sunday.

Pagan said that there are no intelligence institutions in the south that restricts freedoms, adding that they are ready to carry out an investigation on this issue if required.

Earlier, while addressing the NCP Shora Council, President Omer Al Bashir had harshly criticized SPLM saying that it governs the south by military intelligence apparatus.
