S Kordofan government will deploy more troops to conflict areas

The Government of South Kordofan State has affirmed that it has coordinated with the concerned authorities the deployment of a sufficient number of regular forces to the areas of conflict between the Rezeigat and Misseriya tribes which erupted in recent days.

Speaking to Miraya FM, the State's Governor, Ahmed Haroun, said he has accompanied the Federal Minister of Interior in an inspection visit to Mairam, Abu Jabra and Mujlad areas.

Haroun pointed to a joint cooperation between his State and South Darfur to end the tribal tensions. He further expressed their trust in the leadership of the two warring tribes.
