New South Kordofan State's Wali affirms: Peace Building in the State is his Top Priority in Coming Stage

Khartoum, May 10 (SUNA)

The new South Kordofan Wali (governor), Ahmed Mohamed Haroun, affirmed that the peace building and reactivation of the peace process in the state constitutes his top priority in the coming stage.

After his taking of oath at the Republican Palace Sunday as the Wali (governor) of South Kordofan State, Haroun emphasized in press statement that the prevalence of durable peace on the ground necessitates consolidation of the partnership with Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM).

He added that the building of social peace through peaceful coexistence among all the state's components will boost the development process in the state which is bestowed with vast natural resources and competent manpower.

The Wali praised the efforts of the past government in the state, affirming that the media will be the major partner in the coming stage of peace building in the state.
