21 February 2009 (Miraya FM)
The SPLM in South Kordofan State passed a vote-of-no-confidence against its State-Chairman Daniel Kodi Angelo, who is also serving as a deputy-governor in the state.
The decision came following an urgent meeting held by the Liberation Council yesterday.
The SPLM recommended holding a general convention within a month period to elect its new Chairman in the State.
The SPLM South Kordofan Spokesperson, Mohameddein Ibrahim, said Kod's inability and breaching of the movement's constitution led to the decision.
Meanwhile, the SPLM Spokesperson, Yen Matthew, told Miraya FM that it is the right of SPLM in the state to make recommendations to dismiss the head and to hold a general meeting in the state.
He pointed the SPLM's leadership received a verbal note on this regard until it receives an official note through the southern sector to which the SPLM in Southern Kordofan belongs.
