Kordofan Social Fabric at Stake, Defense Minister

Ministry of Defense sources reported implication of a State-Level Minister in distributing fake seculars to the effect that the Government is involved in arming particular tribes in Southern Kordofan.

Dismissing the allegations, Defense Minister, Abdalrahim Mohammed Hussein presented yesterday before Parliamentary Defense and Security Committee meeting, 18 fake documents that, he said, target undermining the social fabrics in Southern Kordofan.

He further disclosed that the documents bear a forged signature of the Chief to the Joint Defense Board, Lt. Gen., Mohammed Alradi Nasraddeen who was a force commander 12 years ago, besides fabrication of signatures used at Sudan Armed Force Headquarters.

Parliamentary Defense and Security Committee Chief, Lt. Gen., Jalal Tawor, reported that the committee got satisfied with the Defense Minister's invalidation of the said documents

Meanwhile, in his capacity as a member to the Joint Committee  in charge of monitoring implementation of Abyei and Nuba  areas  Security Arrangements Protocols, State Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Ahmed Haroun,  stated that security arrangements and allocated funds are well on track as some 1500 military personnel have been integrated in civil life.
