Government sign agreement with JEM's faction in South Kurdufan

The government has signed a political and military agreement with a faction of the Kurdufan-sector of JEM led by Muhammad Abd-al-Rahman al-Riziqi.

The agreement stipulates integrating all of the faction's fighters into the regular forces in addition to employing local people in the oil companies operating in the area as an act of positive discrimination.

The agreement also stipulates releasing all those detained on cases related to the political conflict in the area. National Assembly speaker Ahmad Ibrahim al-Tahir attended the signing.
