SPLM warns against holding election without agreeing on disputed laws

The SPLM has warned against running elections without the NCP and the SPLM agreeing on Intelligence and National Security law. SPLM spokesperson Yen Mathew told Miraya FM that the National Security should not be empowered to arrest people.

Yen added that to power to detain might be applied against political opponents.

The SPLM spokesperson said that having many deputies for the National Security chief, unnecessary.

Earlier Salah Abdallah Gosh, head of National Security and Intelligence, the SPLM and NCP representatives within the National Security and Intelligence agency agreed on the law of National Security and Intelligence.
