CPA partners urged to complete reconciliation

Niron Philip, Chairperson for the joint Assessment and Evaluation Commission (AEC) urged the two Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) partners -- the National Congress Party (NCP) and the Sudanese People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) -- to intensify their efforts to implement the remaining items of the CPA and to complete reconciliation in South Kordofan.

The AEC in South Kordofan is already preparing for a joint reconciliation workshop for the end of this month. It will involve participation of national government officials from Blue Nile and South Kordofan states.
