The Head of the SPLM Administration in Abyei, Edward Lino, told Miraya FM that three people were killed in the town after the Sudan Armed Forces attacked the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) police station on Wednesday.   Two of the victims were from the SPLA police while the third belonged to one of the militias, as Lino put it.

Mr. Lino said that the fighting broke out after a misunderstanding between the SPLA police and the some militias.

Miraya FM could not contact the Sudan Armed forces officials for comments on this issue.
