05 May 2008 (Miraya FM)

An association in Lagawa Valley in South Kordofan held the Sudan People’s Liberation Army responsible for the renewed clashes between Al-Misseriya and the Nuba tribes which occurred in Lagawa, South Kordofan yesterday.

Head of the association, Dr. Bakheet Al-Tijani told Miraya FM that the Sudan People’s Liberation Army has prevented citizens from entering certain areas on the pretext that they are liberated areas, pointing that it violates the constitution of Sudan.

Miraya MF could not obtain a comment from the two parties of the conflict, the Sudan People’s Liberation Army in South Kordofan and the Nuba tribe.
