South Kordofan State reiterates commitment to work with the UN, INGOS, NGOs

The Deputy Governor of the South Kordofan State, General Daniel Kodi, has reiterated the State Government’s commitment to work with all UN agencies and international and national, NGOs working in the State.

Speaking in Kadugli at the State Governor’s quarterly meeting with the UN Agencies, international and national NGOs working in the State, the Deputy Governor lauded the endeavors of all development actors in the State and assured them the full backing of the State Government.

He stressed that the parties to the Government will exert utmost efforts to implement the Comprehensive Peace Agreement so that there will be an enabling environment for development.

The Deputy Governor said his administration will step up its efforts to improve thelivelihoods of the people in the State, particularily women and children.

Representatives of the different sectors made presentations on which in-depth discussion followed. The meeting is expected to identify the challenges and come up with recommendations.
