President Al-Bashir receives memorandum of First Vice President Salva Kiir

President of the Republic and Chairman of the National Congress (NC) Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir has received the memorandum of the First Vice President of the Republic and President of the Government of Southern Sudan and Chairman of Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) Salva Kiir dealing with arrangements of implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and some proposals on amending Cabinet portfolios.
President Al-Bashir affirmed when he received at the Guest House Tuesday SPLM delegation headed by Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan Dr. Riek Machar in the presence of Minister of Presidential Affairs Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih that the memorandum would find consideration and study from the government and party institutions.
The Presidential Affairs Minister said in a press statement following the meeting that President Al-Bashir and First Vice President Salva Kiir would hold meetings to discuss the memorandum in details following the arrival of Salva Kiir in Khartoum in the coming few days besides continuing the meetings of the Presidency.
The Presidential Affairs Minister did not rule out setting up of new mechanisms or reactivating the existing ones in the context of the commitment of the two partners to the implementation of the CPA for realizing the aspired national goals.
