South Kordofan State's Legislative Council Reviews Report of Culture and Information Ministry

The Legislative Council of South Kordofan State, chaired by its Deputy Chairman, Siddig Mansour Al-Nayer, Monday reviewed a report on the performance of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth and Sports in the first half of the year 2007.

The report was presented by the Minister of Culture and Information, Ahmed Mohamed Nasser, who reviewed his ministry's achievements in the cultural and sports activities.

The report tackled the obstacles facing the ministry, pointing to the importance of training of employees and completion of the infrastructures, besides the implementation of the second phase of rehabilitation of the Radio and TV Corporation and establishment of Sudan News Agency (SUNA) premises.

The Ministry's report has affirmed the consolidation and spreading of the peace culture and documentation of the people's heritage and local folklore, besides reactivation the youths and sports' work in the state's localities and administrative units.
