The authorities of South Kordofan State completed its preparations for the preliminary census to take place in the State as stipulated in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. The director of census in the State, Ali Toro Musa, said that State committees have been formed to supervise the census.

Musa added that people have been trained, the budget for the census is out, and other mechanisms for the census to take place have been completed. Musa said that the census will take place according to the maps and services rendered by the local authorities in various areas of the State.

Musa said they are now preparing to establish an information office in the rural areas of the State which could easy their work.
