The ministry of education in South Kordofan State has closed down Schools in the State for two days after yesterday’s demonstrations. Several students were injured after clashing with police in the State. The demonstrators burned vehicles and departments belonging to the State government.
The students went into demonstrations, in protest against the strikes of the teachers due to delays of salaries. Speaking to Miraya FM the director general of the ministry of education in the State, Mohamed Osman Ismail, denied that there were deaths, adding that the teachers have received their salaries yesterday.
