South Kordofan State's Wali Receives UNDP Delegation

The Wali (governor) of South Kordofan State, Maj. Gen. Ismail Khamis Jalab, received in his office a delegation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) which was headed by the British expert Peter Read, in the presence of the Minister of Local Government and Civil Service, Dr. Eissa Bushra Mohamed Affendi , the Director of the UNDP in South Kordofan and the Civil Service Advisor in the state, Abdalla Al-Toam.

The meeting tackled a number of issues realted to the strategy and comprehensive sustainable development. Major Gen. Jalab appreciated the remarkable role which is being played by the UNDP in the field of training and providing development services in the state.

He affirmed the state's need for scientific programmes, particularly during the coming period, expressing his hope for he continuation the programme support for the implementation of the agreement for training the employees to establish infrastructures development.

The British expert expressed the delegation's readiness to boost the development projects and programmes in the state.
