The Joint Military Commission/Joint Monitoring Mission is to stop monitoring a ceasefire in the Dilling area of Sudan's Nuba Mountains temporarily, according to a press statement Tuesday.

JMC/JMM held the Sudanese army responsible for 10 ceasefire violations since mid-January 2004. It said that the army has continuously denied the monitoring mission access to the area, forcing them to reach their decision.

JMC/JMM is comprised of international staff and representatives of the Sudanese army and Sudan Peoples Liberation Army (SPLM/Nuba).
