Death of Yousif Kowa Mekki

Saterday 31 March, at 13.50 hr. Yousif Kowa Mekki has died.

In Yousif Kowa, not only the Nuba lose a great leader. His dedication to democracy and his advocacy of religeous, tribal and racial tolerance have been a source of strength and inspiration to many people inside and outside the Sudan.

Yousif Kowa reached the age of 55 years and shall be dearly missed by his relatives, his friends, and by the people he has served for the past 25 years.
