Two police officers injured by an Unexploded Ordnance in Nuba Mountains

At least two Sudanese policemen have been injured on Sunday during an unexploded ordnance explosion in Tobo County of Nuba Mountains.

The two civil police were believed to have been on a demining mission. Voice of Peace reports.

An eye witness Tajir Arnuk Ango, told Voice of Peace Radio in Gidel that the incident happened at around 10:00 PM.

The two injured police officers are receiving treatment at the Mother of Mercy hospital in the town.

Tobo County witnessed fierce fighting two years ago between the Sudan Arm Forces and the SPLA-N.
