The National Elections Commission (NEC) has called on mass media to deal very responsibly with sensitive issues undermining national security and stability.
In press release issued on Saturday, the Commission has refuted the existence of any compromise or deal in the Blue Nile or South Kordofan elections.
Some journalist and column writers have hinted to a deal in Blue Nile elections 2010 so the Sudan Liberation People’s Movement in South Kordofan is obstructing the elections to have similar trade off, said the press release.
No deal or compromise of such nature has been reached in the Blue Nile election, on the contrary the SPLM candidate for governor of the state has overwhelmingly swept the elections while the Congress has won the parliamentary seats, said Commission.
