National Congress emphasizes keenness on South Kordofan security and stability

The National Congress's Leadership Office, in a meeting chaired by President of the Republic and Chairman of the Party, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir Wednesday stressed keenness on security and stability of South Kordofan State and applauded the people's wide participation in the complementary elections which were held in the State at the beginning of this month.

The Leadership Office was informed with efforts being made by the National Elections Commission (NEC) to resolve some problems and obstacles made by the Sudan People Liberation Movement(SPLM) which impeded the official announcement of the results of the elections, former National Congress Secretary of Information Department , Fathi Shaila said in press statements after the meeting.

The Office expressed hope the NEC succeeded in surpassing this impasse so as to enable the people of South Kordofan to enjoy security and stability He added that the meeting also approved the Economic Sector's report for the year 2010 which was presented by the Chairman of the Party's Economic Sector, Dr Awad Ahmed Al-Gaz.
