South Kordofan Elections Committee says polling preparations complete

The Elections High Committee in Southern Kordofan state has announced it has completed preparations for polling for the state's gubernatorial and Legislative Assembly elections. The Head of the Committee, Adam Abdien, told Radio Miraya that the electoral body has dispatched staff to the over 600 polling stations across the state for the process beginning on Monday.

Three Candidates are running for the Governor's office, while 126 others are competing for the state's Legislative Assembly seats. Radio Miraya's correspondent in Kadugli reports that the situation remains calm, with police deployed across the town.
