Security arrangements face obstacles in South Kordofan

The head of the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Commission in South Kordofan State, Adel Rahman Al Bileil Shanto, told Miraya FM the implementiation of the security arrangements in the State is delayed due to the deteriorating security situation there.
Shanto added that administrative and logistic procedures attributed to delay and postponement the demobilization of more than 17,000 soldiers from both the Sudan People's Liberation Army and the Sudan Armed forces.
The United Nations DDR Commission will celebrate on the 27th of this month, the first phase of demobilization of ex-combatants from both the Sudan armed forces in Kadugli and SPLA in Jullud area.
